Here is the quick money making aspect of IT, Blogging is the act of owning a blog site, a typical example is or or Naijaloaded.

You share articles with your audience about either what you are passionate about or what you know how to do, for example I started Ebira Online Because I love to write About Ebira Histories and Culture.

What can you blog about?

  • Finance
  • Music
  • Culture
  • Tech
  • Food
  • Make Up
You can start making money quickly from blogging if you are dedicated and hardworking.

How So  We Monetize Blog In Nigeria?

I will say that monetizing your blog shouldn't be your number 1 priority so that you will be focused while building your business (Blog). but to answer the question, you can make monetize your blog through Paid advertisements (Local Advertisers e.g. Hotels and cosmetics shops), Contextual Advertisements (Google AdSense), Affiliate Marketing ( e.g. Promoting Jumia Products you get percentage if they make sale), Sponsored Posts (Company's pay you to write about them comedians are doing it most), membership etc.

Music promotions, if you are a music blogger like Naijaloaded you can charge upcoming artists to promote their songs. You can sell your personal products (Very Effective). Lets say you are a make-Up artist and you are running a a make-up blog, you will be able to sell your products and services through your blog, because people visiting your blog are people interested in make up. Another example is food blogging, you can write a book about how to reduce fat with daily nutrients. I don't really know much about food but I hope I have been able to pass the message across.

Can I Actually Do Multi Niche Blogging?

Yes! it is called Multi Niche blogging, It is better to focus on one Niche, so that you will be able to sell yourself out, A travel blogger can promote hotels and restaurants etc. but it all depends on how popular and how hardworking you are.

Note: It is not Guarantee that you will make money through blogging, and don't let anyone fool you that blogging is a get rich quick scheme, I know of bloggers that are millionaires, and I know people that left blogging because it wasn't making them anything. But it all depends on Dedication, Hard work and consistency.

In Conclusions.

With all my explanations so far I guess you can now choose and decide for yourself which of the fields to learn, One big mistake I made back in the days was trying to learn everything you have to choose one that interests you very well, so that you wont become jack of all trade. Master one and you will be able to build yourself around it.
Web Development is not something we can just jump into and start coding in the name of teaching and learning, you need to choose the one that suit you. We have broad careers in IT. So Choose one first an Move.
